Who doesn’t love a good vacation? Getting away from it all can be rejuvenating, fun, and relaxing. With so many options available to travelers, it can be hard to decide which one to choose for your next trip. When it comes to your dental health, you might be considering Dental Tourism in Costa Rica. It’s an excellent choice! Biodent Dental Specialists offers a wide variety of treatments and services in their state-of-the-art clinics, including dental implants, root canal treatment, and general dentistry like fillings and crowns.

Things to keep in mind

Costa Rica is one of several destinations that has become a popular destination for dental tourism because of its low cost of healthcare, proximity to North America and Europe and modern facilities. Here are some tips for planning your dental vacation in Costa Rica

Things you should be aware of before booking your dental vacation

Now that you’ve figured out when you’re going to take your dental vacation, it’s time to look at costs. How much should you expect to pay? The short answer is $2,000 to $3,000. The long answer involves math—and a little bit of research. You need to consider two things: how much treatment you plan on getting and how long you plan on staying. How Much Treatment Do You Need? Figure out how many procedures (i.e., cleanings, extractions) you plan on getting done by looking into what's included in each of your chosen packages and factoring in any other treatments or medications that might be required for your trip. How Long Will You Be Staying?

Things you need to know about Biodent

Let’s look at Biodent dental specialists. All of our doctors are licensed professionals that were educated and trained in countries such as Costa Rica, Columbia and MExico. We currently offer all on 4 dental implants tourism and 3D CBCT Panoramic X-Rays to keep our patients informed of any problems they may have with their teeth. To top it off, we offer free airport pick up from Juan Santamaria Airport (SJO) and free accommodation.

How to make an appointment

If you’re interested in visiting Costa Rica to get dental work done, be sure to have a set of questions ready. The team at Biodent will take your call and answer any questions you may have about treatment options, insurance coverage and pricing details. If you’re not sure what type of services you need (like a root canal or dental implants), it’s OK to ask!

What happens after you have made an appointment

There are many good reasons to come to Costa Rica for your dental care, and we at Biodent are one of them. We have created a comfortable environment that allows you to relax and focus on your dental care needs. This is where you will find an attentive team, leading-edge technology and our signature Biodent Dental Care. We provide all inclusive dental tourism services including accommodation and transportation from San Jose international airport at no extra cost.

What you can expect when you arrive at Biodent

Upon your arrival at our Costa Rica dental facility, we will meet you at Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) and take you to one of our exclusive accommodation near the clinic. From there, we’ll discuss your dental plan with you so that we can better treat your specific needs. Then, on your first day of treatment, a team member will pick you up at 8 am sharp. One of our Dentist will examine you and go over your needs and our process.

Be prepared when traveling with dental records

Make sure to prepare yourself with your dental records before you leave on vacation. It’s smart to store these documents electronically, whether that means emailing them to yourself or storing them online. You can also consider printing out a copy and packing it in your luggage. Both of these options are preferable over keeping your records locked up at home, as no one will be able to access them if you have an emergency abroad. If you don't have them, it is ok.
